Ryan Barker is a Founder and Managing Partner of BERA Brand Management (BBM) working on a “soup to nuts” global platform to bridge the gap between marketing and finance. The platform will provide the CMO, his/her team and the broader c-suite a ‘turnkey’, repeatable solution for improving their ability to maximize brand performance and value (and the portfolio as a whole).
Prior to joining BERA Brand Management Ryan was EVP, Marketing & Decision Analytics at Vision Critical—worlds largest provider of Insight Community software where Ryan created the BERA (Brand Equity Relationship Assessment) platform which was later spun out to form BBM.
Ryan was Global Director of Brand Strategy at Young & Rubicams’ Brand Asset Valuator Consulting where he provided Brand Consulting to Fortune 500 Chief Marketing Officers.
Prior to joining Y&R, Ryan was in charge of the strategic marketing and implementation of a portal for a technology start-up company that creates interactive web-based multimedia for training applications. Ryan was also an Analyst at TL Ventures, a $1 billion venture capital firm, associated with Safeguard Scientifics, an NYSE-traded Information Technology Investor. Ryan began his career working in Brazil for MB Consultoria Ltda., which consults for diverse clients interested in acquisition opportunities for growth companies in Brazil.
Ryan has an MBA in International Management with a focus on Global Marketing / E-commerce from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management. He has a BA in Economics and Latin American Studies with a minor in Entrepreneurship & Management from the Johns Hopkins University.
